  2. Great to hear from you @NikkiLondon! As a few of you seem keen on a new thread to stay in touch I have started one in the Queensland part of the forum called partner visa continuation..... hopefully the link below will work..... http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=255486&p=1937029311#post1937029311 Looking forward to it Cara
  3. Thanks, I do nose around but I've been quite busy lately so mostly been just this thread. I was just checking I hadn't done something silly and turned it off by accident or something lol
  4. Thank you for all your lovely comments, wishing you all the best of luck but I'll still be lurking around on here  ps is it just me or does the like button not exist anymore?
  5. Thank you, it's been great to share the journey. When are you off? And where to? x
  6. I'm sorry it's worked out this way but I'm sure you will all get your visa's very soon. I'll still keep an eye on this thread for good news from you all
  7. Great idea - Perhaps we should start a thread on the Queensland section and put the link on here
  8. OMG I was granted my visa today!!!! Soooo happy and relieved :jiggy: 4 1/2 months so quicker than I expected. They requested medicals last week so I booked in asap and fast tracked police check. Medical was Wednesday, all clear Thursday and uploaded police check, visa grant Friday! Our situation: My husband is British and was finalising his permanent residency visa when we met so didn't have time to discuss it and add me on. Met 3 years ago, became an 'official' couple when he moved in Dec 14, bought our house joint mortgage April 15, Got married September 15. Validated hubbys visa October 15 on our honeymoon. No children. 309 visa approved. Good Luck to everyone and hope to see more visa grants very soon. Keep the faith x
  9. Well I had my medical yesterday and it's already been approved when I checked on immi tonight!! Only requested last week so very quick turnaround all in all! Police check uploaded so just waiting for visa grant now! Very exciting and happy to know we've done all we can now  House is going on the market next week.
  10. Yay!!!! that's amazing news, congratulations!!! :jiggy: I'm sooooo chuffed for you. When are you planning on moving? We're going to Queensland too so would be great to stay in touch x
  11. Welcome! It is a frustrating waiting game unfortunately but worth it in the end :-) Since I've been on this forum the visa's seem to be coming in about 5-8months, mostly the earlier end but there are no guarantees. From what I can tell, the longer end of the 10-14 months seems to be the high risk applications (there's another thread for them) because they have to go for an interview. The waiting does seem to be a bit random. From what I've seen front loading doesn't seem to speed the process up, if anything it might seem to slow it down. I decided not to front load as I wanted confirmation that my application was ok which I see being asked for the medicals & police checks and no other info validation of. I was asked to go for mine last week so just over 4 months in. I'm doing it this week so we'll see how long they take to approve afterwards. Some people it's really quick - no rhyme nor reason I'm afraid! But you're in the right place to keep an eye on things and share the load with others in similar positons. Good Luck.
